We are going to be learning a bit about the history of the Illuminated Letter.  Please follow the link below to find all about the Illuminated Letter and why it is so important in history.  Read through the site, and answer the questions.

For the rest of class.  I want you to do a little more on Illuminated Manuscripts and create one of your own.  Choose one of your initials and on a piece of white paper draw out the letter and design it.  You may use the silver or gold sharpies to your advantage.  Have fun!
